UMD Junior, Mother Co-author Book for Kids of Military Personnel
University of Maryland Junior Jennifer Fink and her mom Debbie have written and released The Little CHAMPS, a book written for young children of military families. The stars of the book are five children, each representing a branch of the U.S. military, or CHAMPS -- Child Heroes Attached to Military Personnel. The book illustrates the challenges they face as the son or daughter of a service member, including deployment, separation, and tragedy.
