New Terrapin Electronic Voting Registration Application System Debuts

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A new online application conceived and developed by the Student Government Association at the University of Maryland allows UMD students to easily register to vote in Maryland or their home state on a secure university website. Registration information is electronically transmitted to the State Board of Elections for processing.

Honors College Seminar Digs Deeply into Afghanistan

A feature about Temim (Tim) Nusraty, an attorney in the Executive Office of the President at the White House, who taught an Honors College seminare about Afghanistan at the University of Maryland. Current and former senior officials in the U.S. Government were guest speakers. Most importantly, UMD students had the opportunity to engage with undergraduates studying in Afghanistan to understand better the situation in that country.
